Greetings!

Yes, its true. I have arrived in the great land of Nethers--The Netherlands. They look a lot like I expected, but also a lot different than I expected. So far while in The Netherlands I have seen everything from large cities with tall buildings and tightly packed streets to fields filled with roaming sheep and cows. Quite a perfect mix if you ask me.

After recovering from my 6.5 hour plane delay, 8.5 hour flight to Amsterdam, and 3 hour drive to Maastricht, I can honestly say I feel pretty settled in. It doesn't take long to make a nest somewhere if you bring all the right pieces with you. I am so thankful for my mother who helped me tremendously with packing and preparations. I love her so much for the way she serves me and cares for me! What a woman. I feel at home in my dorm already thanks to her.

You may be interested in knowing a very special lady who is accompanying me on this fine summer trip. Her name: Lauren C. Davis. Lo Bear Davis. Lolo. Loyo. Yolo--jk. I cannot even express how thankful I am for her amazing friendship. Boy oh boy am I thrilled to go on countless adventures with this stellar woman.

(This picture was taken a long time ago, but it is one of our favorites)

And so commences my 3 months in Europe. From here on out its just me and Jesus... and Lauren... and Matthew (my boyfriend) who is visiting for a month... and 23 other Baylor students... and the hundreds of people I will meet throughout my trip. Bring it on.

Here's a few highlights from the last 24 hours:
We accidently wore matching outfits to the airport. Normal.

Hilarious sleeping lady that was possibly narcoleptic. Our only entertainment in the airport.

Awesome coach bus that we rode from the Amsterdam airport to Maastricht.

More pictures and news to come!!
